Now, fully refurbished and factory fresh, this SupaCup was the winning car once again in it's surprise return appearance in the SATC / Extreme Festival at PE in June 2026. The ANGRiRacing VW SupaCup car is the reigning Championship winning car in the hands of Tate Bishop and has been meticulously maintained and run by Lee Thompson Racing (LTR) for the last three years with no expense spared. This car has won 2 National championships in the series and unlike many other cars, it features the much desired Chromoly version of the shell / roll cage, the pneumatic air-jack system and integrated Motec camera.
Now back at it's home at ANGRi HQ in Cape Town, it has just been lovingly put back to sparkling white factory fresh condition with new exterior body parts where needed, new trims, inserts and sparkling VW white paint inside and out by KINGS (race car body and paint specialist) in Cape Town. The car is in top spec condition as you would expect from a Championship winning race car and has been fully maintained by LTR with official VW Motorsport parts every race including a brand new turbo just 2 race days back. Since leaving the race track after the last round of its Championship winning 2025 year, it returned to PE in June 2026 as a one-off to take the overall win once again in the hands of Tate Bishop before heading to Kings for its Spa and pamper day!
It is fully technically up to date, beautiful inside and out, race ready to start another Championship winning campaign in the National Extreme Festival SupaCup or the new SAES Class E in their new 70 minute endurance with compulsory pitstop making it idea for sprint spec SupaCup cars with no endurance mods needed. ANGRi and LTR have run this car as 'new' all of the time and has only 'sprint raced' in its life and does not fall into the category of the cheaper well used Supacup cars that have been previously crashed, run extensively in endurance and have end of life parts, tired engines and turbos, steel cages and no air jack or onboard camera systems.
There is no other SupaCup car with a pedigree that this car has, and in the hands of a capable driver it has proved to be the consistently fastest SupaCup in white book specification (which this always has been). The car features everything you need to run at the front in the Championship including spare rims, air jack system and stands, air jack lance, long range antenna (for coms), integrated motec camera system as well as everything we have for this car back at LTR. Just jump in and win! There is also a brand new spare sequential gearbox available separately at extra cost (R250k) which is essential if you are serious about your racing and having uninterrupted race weekends. In our view, this is must have, just ask any driver that has had a minor gearbox issue and their weekend immediately halted. Not racing becomes very expensive and a new gearbox is the ultimate insurance and easy to sell on!
